Where is The Piercings Club located?
We are located in San Diego and La Jolla, California. Location details and parking information are available on our Contact page.
How do I care for my new piercing?
We recommend cleaning with sterile saline twice daily, avoiding unnecessary touching, and being mindful during sleep. Swimming in pools, oceans, or hot tubs should be avoided during early healing.
What if my piercing becomes irritated?
Mild redness or swelling is normal. If irritation continues, do not remove the jewelry—book a check-up appointment so we can assess it properly.
When should I downsize my piercing?
Downsizing is typically recommended 4–8 weeks after your piercing, once swelling has gone down.
What is downsizing and why is it important?
Downsizing involves replacing the initial longer post with a shorter one to improve comfort, reduce irritation, and support proper healing.

Is The Piercings Club part of Bay Ink Tattoo?
Yes. The Piercings Club is part of the Bay Ink Tattoo family, created to offer a dedicated piercing experience.
In Bay Park, The Piercings Club has its own standalone storefront, separate from Bay Ink Tattoo.
In La Jolla, piercing services are performed inside the Bay Ink Tattoo studio in a designated piercing area.
All locations follow the same safety, jewelry, and aftercare standards.
Do you offer curated ear styling?
Yes! We offer curated ear styling and consultations, helping you plan piercings and jewelry placement that suit your anatomy and personal style.
Are your piercers licensed and trained?
Yes. All piercers are licensed professionals trained in safety, sterilization, anatomy, and proper jewelry fitting.
Is your studio clean and safe?
Absolutely. We follow strict hygiene protocols, including single-use needles, autoclave-sterilized tools, and medical-grade disinfectants.
What type of jewelry do you use?
We use implant-grade titanium and solid 14k gold jewelry that is nickel-free, hypoallergenic, and safe for initial piercings.
Do you use a piercing gun or a needle?
We only use single-use, sterile needles for all piercings. Piercing needles are safer, more precise, and cause less trauma to the skin compared to piercing guns. This allows for better healing and reduces the risk of complications.
We do not use piercing guns at The Piercings Club.
Does getting a piercing hurt?
Pain varies by person and piercing, but most clients describe it as quick and manageable. Our piercers are trained to make the process as smooth and comfortable as possible.
How long does a piercing take to heal?
Healing time varies:
Ear lobes: 5–9 months
Cartilage piercings: 3–9 months
Helix, conch, tragus: up to 12 months for full healing
How much does a piercing cost?
The price displayed on our website includes the piercing service and a basic implant-grade titanium jewelry option. Upgrades to solid gold and premium jewelry are available in-store for an additional cost. All pricing is transparent and available during booking and at your appointment.
